Welcome to my world

During the recent summer sales on Gmarket in September, I bought the last piece of this dress from seller Heelstar I’ve been loving this dree with leggings, and worn it at least 5 times since I received it in October. Now size wise, I followed the chart and got it in the larger size (which is equvalent to an ‘M’). I’m a UK10-12. Now on to the material and the cut: I paid ₩ 19,000 since it was on sale, and got free shipping. For the price I paid, I’m pretty happy with it, although on warmer days the chiffon material does feel a little rough and there are several loose threads on the seam. I would not have paid full price (ard ₩40,000) for it though and this is the average range of her clothes. I’m very pleased with the dress, and the seller has been reccomended on other forums I frequent.

Okay those of you who are intrigued by Etude House from my various posts on it will be pleased to know that Etude House is now giving a free fluffy pen with every purchase, this is on top of the door gifts such as cotton pads or sheet masks. I bought the nail art pen for $6.90 but if you just want the fluffy pen, the cheapest items in the shop are the green tea nose pads and the charcoal chin mask at $0.90/pc.

Another nails of the day, I realised that I can’t use NOTW cos this is the 2nd set I’ve had on my nails today (the first being OPI Lincoln Park At Midnight) which is similiar except for the red-microglitter

I really liked this when I tried it on in the shop, so I had to get it. It’s a vampy shade, dark purple with red micro-glitter. I had a little problems with the application as it was a little watery, so ended up with 3 coats so that it would look opaque. Other than that, it is a nice colour. Since the red glitters are pretty fine, you won’t see it as much if you apply it on your toes (it looked like I had painted my toes a brownish-shade) so I’d rec it for fingers only

I think I went slightly nail polish crazy this week, 4 different colours withn 7 days. And one last thing, since the lighting in my home sucks, I bought a reading lamp for use when I paint my nails. Of course I had to buy the Hello Kitty reading lamp, although my dad asked as I was waiting at the cashier ‘why do you need a hello kitty lamp’. Hello pinkness!

As you can see, I’m really loving my Etude House Petit Darling nail polishes (only $2.50 each). While it can be difficult to apply nail polish with smaller bottles, I haven’t noticed any difference with these and the larger bottles which retail for $7.90. These are a cheap bargain for me, especially since I am going through a creme finish phase that is easily satisfied by these. Do note that I am a vampy polish sorta girl, think dark reds, purples etc.

EH Petit Darling nails BR 301

I just bought this colour yesterday, and I couldn’t wait to see how it looked like on my nails. It does look slighty more red-toned irl. I had a little trouble with the consistency of this one though, it was slightly watery so I had to paint 3 coats for it to look even. I like stores which are sincere in selling you the product (think nail polish removers and cotton pads), plus did I mention the free fluffy pen with any purchase 😉

This is random but the Sephora brand nail polish remover doesn’t remove nail polish that easily. I went swatch crazy at Sephora Ion (thus why my previous nail polish was removed so quickly after less than a week) and had a difficult time removing my old nail polish. It also seemed really greasy as well. I am still planning my transdesign order as there are so many new polishes to collect.
Mascara reviews coming up: Bourjois Volume Clubbing (Ultra Black) vs Fairy Drops (available in Watson’s now for $24.90) vs Majolica Majorca Lashes My Lashes Extend Elegantly (I’ve just found out that this has been discontinued, so I’m really disappointed as it was one mascara I was pretty happy with)

Etude House Nail polish + Eternal nail stickers

What I used:

PA stickers, PA base coat, EH #24, Orly Tiara

Okay this is my first attempt drawing cat eyes so I kept it as simple as possible. Apply Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner using a brush to draw a thick line, then fill in the top part with MAC pigment in ‘Tan’. I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base. The line looks slightly blueish cos I went over the lashline with my Bourjois volume clubbing liner in turquoise

VOV is a korean skincare and cosmetics brand, and I’ve read many good reviews about these masks. There’s 2 types- a sheet mask or a wash off pack (which is slightly cheaper). The good thing is they’re all individually packed, with 10 in a box. It saves me the trouble of washing a scooper each time I wanna use a mask thats packaged in a tub. The wash off pack has a generous amount so there is enough for 3 applications.

VOV Daily Fresh Mask

Coenzyme Q10 white, Pomegranate Collagen, Strawberry Yoghurt Collagen, Black Raspberry Collagen, Green Tea Collagen (yup you can never have enough collagen)

VOV Daily Fresh Mini Pack

Apple AHA Peeling Gel, Lifting Berry & Berry Pack

So far I’ve tried the Green tea sheet mask and Apple wash off pack. My skin is oily dehydrated and is prone to redness. The green tea sheet mask gave me a tingly sensation so I only left it on for 10 mins, but it was okay once I removed it. It gave an immediate brightening effect(both my mum and I used it after a hot day outside) whereas the Apple AHA peeling get stung slightly, and despite its name is a wash off pack cos I tried to peel it and it didn’t work.

Seller link for sheet mask (11,200 won/pack) and wash off pack (5,600 won/pack) here Got them from the same seller but I didn’t order enough to not pay the delivery fee (another 2,500 won). Seller shipped out pretty quickly and the production dates for the sheet masks are only a few months ago, although I couldn’t find a manufacturing date for the wash off packs.

My friends know that I have an extremely sweet tooth, and that I enjoy the finer things in life. These cookies are no exception, although I baulk at the steep price tag (I got them on discount for $38) but they are worth the price; lyceeinfused cookies with lotus nuts. There are around 20 cookies/tin so almost $2 each, but they are soo good. Other that that my other favourite is the Rose-infused cookie. With the holiday season around the corner, why not buy one for your friends or family.

I have fallen in love with Etude House’s nail polishes, not only do they have nice shades of pink, the smaller sizes are pocket friendly at onlt $2.50 a pop. The larger ones are $7.90. I find that for the nail polish its not cost effective to get them off gmarket, since they are 1,000 won and 3,000 won respectively ( i’ve been paying about S$2-3/item for shipping so i only bought one online and the rest instore) but here’s the link if you’re still keen. This is the official Etude House seller on gmarket and I’ve always ordered my EH items from them. More on my gmarket hauls in another post 🙂
