Welcome to my world

I passed by the Royce counter at Takashimaya yesterday and chanced upon another limited edition flavour- matcha (made with white chocolate). Last month I also bought a limited edition strawberry flavour but I still prefer the original with champagne.

Interior:  the light green colour doesn’t look promising

Ingredient list:

So how’s the taste test?

Typical sweet (but not sickly sweet) white chocolate, with a very mild matcha flavour, I wish they’d put in more matcha.

Price: S$15

I redeemed this 25 ml sample form fr3b concept store at Stamford House. So far it’s the only sample I’ve really liked that I am probably going to buy when I have finished the sample.

Pros:

Nice body lotion with a scent which reminds me of a sugarcane body lotion I got from a natural shop eons ago (similiar to the body shop) but the name escapes me right now.  The scent is not so generic like other drugstore brand scents. Moisturising enough for our hot weather and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.

A one year membership to the concept store costs $28 but you can check up to 8 samples each time. Or sign up for a free membership at http://fr3b.com and check out samples online (just pay for postage). Interested? Please click on the link below so that I can earn referral points.

Latest Nail polish additions to my collection:

OPI We’ll Always have paris (suede), OPI Pink before you leap and OPI Blushingham Palace. The BNB polish is a pink glitter liner.

Pink before you leap is a glitterly light pink (with blueish flecks) while Blushingham Palace is a gorgeous coral pink.

Now on to my NOTW

China Glaze Candie (from the glitter collection) Made a mistake by applying this over my normal base coat. This is a rather sheer colour and to achieve the colour in the bottle I painted 5-6 coats, followed by 2 thick coats of Seche Vite top coat. I forsee that this will be difficult to remove but for the time being, just enjoying my nails. Since its such a thick coat of nail polish it *kinda* looks like i have acrylic nails on lol.

When I need to order MD Skincare  or Peter Thomas Roth products I order from http://www.skinwest.com
So far I’ve ordered twice, and you have to be very patient when you order. It’s because they only order your item after you make your order, and they charge your credit card immediately as well. My first order took 3 weeks to be shipped out and my last order took 4 weeks, ordered on Nov 11 and just received it today (Dec 29)!

Of course, skinwest.com only charges me US$2.99 for international shipping (postage on the box was US$13.65) so I can’t complain. Plus the prices are still cheaper than our local Sephora.

So what did I get?

Peter Thomas Roth Sulphur cooling mask and Model in a Bottle (face primer), not pictured is PTR cucumber mask for my mum. I was only gonna order the Sulphur Cooling mask but they had a promotion (i think it was spend over $80 and received a Dermalogical Age Smart sampler pack and 5 assorted Dermalogica samples so I ordered more. The current promo on skinwest is spend a minimun of $69 and received a 10ml of the Dermalogical Age Smart Dynamic Skin recovery or Cellex-C perfecting pen. I got a better deal since the sample pack also includes a  7ml Dynamic Skin recovery.

Samples I received:

I finished my 1st tub of the sulfur mask in 9 months, although I havent tried the other 2 products.

Pros: Very good at flatenning my pimples, can also be used as an overnight spot treatment)

Cons: Finished very quickly in 9 months

Price: US$40 (online) or S$90 at Sephora

Dual Effect sleeping pack- intense repair whitening and anti-wrinkle

Tony Moly is a brand of Korean skincare and cosmetics, and is endorsed by Kim Hyun Joong, the guy with the blond hair on Boys over Flowers (K-version). He has baby-smooth skin!

You only need a red bean sized amount, and apply to your entire face. It has a texture of a thick gel, and is a little sticky when applied.

I think this mask is too rich for me. Silly me used this 2 nights in a row (woke up to moisturised skin on the first morning), and slight rashes over my cheek and chin area on the 3rd morning. So I can’t really comment on the efficacy of its whitening and anti-wrinkle functions, but I believe it is a decent moisturing mask. Just don’t be like me and use it 2 nights in a row!

If anyone is interested, I am selling this for $15 shipped. Used twice and was brand new when I got it.

A grand total of 78 bottles….a lot but you never feel that its enough. I would say that the most used would be my glittery reds and vampy purples. Most of my collection (OPI/China Glaze/Orly) were bought online from 8ty8beauty.com or transdesign.com. Very few were bought locally except for the Etude House polishes. Yes I am a polish snob so the bulk of my collection are salon brands. I’m lazy to label all the polishes in the pics individually, but do give me a shout if you’re keen to identify a particular polish 🙂

These are my xmas nails, not very elaborate as I have an external meeting tomorrow and I have to look professional.

This is very glittery, deep green shimmer, after 3 coats. 2 coats are fine but that’s just me. This is easy to apply, took a little longer to dry though. Nothing says xmas like this shade of green!

More reviews as I slowly start to try my stash. Basically the korean skincare items were cheap, and i received a sample of the EH collagen cream with my previous order and it was a basic moisturiser. On the whole though I find korean skincare very fragranced at times, so it’s not always suitable for me.

Apologies for MIA over the apst few weeks, basically I spent time online shopping and basically Christmas came early for me as all my orders arrived:
